1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Causiq website (causiq.com.au), joining the waitlist, or using any Causiq services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

2. About Causiq

Causiq is a general wellness and awareness application designed to help adults track their subjective daily experience during the first 90 days of starting an SSRI or SNRI antidepressant. Causiq is developed and operated from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

The application is currently in pre-launch. Features described on this website represent our intended product and may change before or after launch.

3. Critical health disclaimer

Causiq is a general wellness and awareness tool. It is explicitly not any of the following:

• A medical device under Australian law (Therapeutic Goods Act 1989), FDA regulations, or any other jurisdiction.
• A source of medical advice, clinical guidance, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
• A replacement for consultation with a qualified medical professional.
• A crisis intervention or mental health emergency service.

Information you record in Causiq is for your own personal awareness only. Any patterns or summaries presented by the app are for informational self-awareness purposes only and must not be used to make medical decisions, alter medication dosages, or discontinue treatment without professional guidance.

If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately (000 in Australia, 911 in the US, 999 in the UK, 112 in the EU).

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Causiq. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, you must not use or attempt to use the service.

Causiq is intended for personal, non-commercial use by individuals.

5. Waitlist and early access

Joining the Causiq waitlist does not guarantee access to the application. Early-access invitations will be issued at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or close the waitlist at any time without notice.

Waitlist spots are non-transferable and for personal use only.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure.
• Transmit any harmful, offensive, or misleading content through our contact form or other channels.
• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Causiq's content without our written permission.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or interact with our services.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the Causiq website and in the Causiq application — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software — is the property of Causiq or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and view content on this website for personal, non-commercial purposes only. No other rights are granted.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Causiq website and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided by the service.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Causiq and its team members shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Health outcomes resulting from use or reliance on the Causiq application or website.
• Decisions made about medication, treatment, or healthcare based on information in the app.
• Loss of data, revenue, or goodwill.
• Service interruptions or technical failures.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these terms or the services shall not exceed AUD $100, or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

10. Third-party links and services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. Linking does not imply endorsement.

11. Privacy

Your use of Causiq is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. Please review it carefully.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our services at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or for any other reason.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia for any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or the services.

If you are a consumer in Australia, nothing in these terms excludes any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
